On Monday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a surprise meeting with officials of the water utility, MLAs, and Ministers and suspended three Delhi Jal Board engineers for failing to maintain proper water supply. And after two days, on Wednesday, outside the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) Headquarters, the association of engineers has condemned “the foul language used by the CM” against the engineers and demanded an apology from him and demanded suspension orders of the fellow engineers be immediately revoked.
The statement issued by the association said that they protested “to show solidarity with engineers who were humiliated by none other than the CM”. The association said, “Most MLAs appreciated the work done by DJB this year. Surprisingly, the CM chose to target individual officers,” it said.
